I have a file that was designed for PlasmaCam but I need to cut it on a laser. I need this done ASAP for a gift that was promised. Are there resources that are available to convert the file? I don't want to spend money on the upgrade just to convert one file.
a plasma friendly file should work for a laser - if it is in plasmacam PCM format you'll need someone with the upgraded plasmacam software to export it to DXF format - making sure they export the original linework and not the cut paths
That's my problem. I'm having trouble finding someone that has the updated software to do the export for me.
